Star Trek Fleet Command: Swarm Crew (UPDATED 2022)

The Swarm is the daily bread and butter for many Star Trek Fleet Command players.
We have Swarm dailies, which are essential to get Frequency Modulators for upgrading your USS Franklin ship. In addition to those dailies, farming Swarm biominerals are always handy for storing resources you retain even if your base gets raided.
Besides, there are many events involving hunting Swarm hostiles, so if you want to be on the top of leaderboard events, you better have a good crew that makes you more efficient when hunting Swarm hostiles.
This guide will cover officers and crew combinations to boost your combat against Swarm clusters. Regardless of your ship, these officers would still be good, but keep in mind using some ships will be more effective than others.
What makes an officer good in fighting Swarm clusters
One of the things we consider most important is to have officers who can decrease their damage or increase our defenses.
Swarm weapons are very fast, and they will hit us several times in each round. If we can mitigate that damage, it would make us endure more combats before going to base for repairs.
So having this in mind, we will look for officers with abilities that make us endure more or give us advantages in PVE.
Some of these abilities include:
- Decrease of Kinetic damage because Swarm clusters deal kinetic damage.
- Mitigation of damage when fighting Hostiles.
- Increase health, shield, and other defensive stats.
- Healing shields after combat.
Beginners Swarm Crew
If you are below level 25, we assume that you may not have unlocked many epic or rare officers. So you may not be able to get the best Swarm crew.
Luckily the following crews will help you in your battles against the Swarm. Besides, these crews are also effective in PVE when fighting other hostiles.

Best Swarm Crew
The following crews are not sorted by any order, we provide several crews that are effective against the Swarm, but it's up to you to decide what's best for you, depending on what officers you own.
For example, if you don't have Jaylah or a Franklin ship, those crews wouldn't make sense for you. However, even if you have Jaylah but have other officers with higher-tier promotions, maybe that's a better option for you.
Ultra defensive crew #1
This crew it's even more powerful because of the Shakedown Cruise synergy that Marlena Moreau and Pike share, they get +40% of effectiveness in their abilities.

Best Lower Deck officers for Swarm
Lower deck abilities are a great addition to any crew mentioned in this guide. If you own any of the following officers, don't hesitate to add them to your lower ship deck.

Conclusion
Defensive crews with stats mitigation do very well against the Swarm. You can still make it with common officers if you are a beginner. As soon as you unlock other rare and epic officers, you can upgrade your swarm crew to be even more destructive.
T'Laan is an essential officer to have, not only for fighting Swarm hostiles but also other hostiles. Be sure to promote her as you get more shards.
